Athrun Zala

Resumen

__Genetic type:__ Coordinator Height: 170-178 cm Mobile Suit: GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam, ZGMF-1000/M ZAKU Warrior, ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam, ZGMF-2000 GOUF Ignited, ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam, ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice Gundam He is a second-generation Coordinator, hailing from the city of December on the PLANT colonies. He possesses a sincere and earnest personality—though, to put it less charitably, he can be quiet and unsociable. He also has a surprisingly competitive streak; for instance, after losing a game of chess to his contemporary [Yzak](https://anilist.co/character/1264/Yzak-Joule), he offered his hand and said, "I lost, Yzak. Congratulations"—a gesture that actually infuriated Yzak—while inwardly fuming, "Damn it! ...Well, whatever! I'll win next time!" He is the son of [Patrick Zala](https://anilist.co/character/32874/Patrick-Zala), Chairman of the PLANT Supreme Council. Until three years before the start of the story, he lived on the Moon with his mother, Lenore Zala. As his father was stationed at PLANT and his mother was frequently away for work, he often spent time at the home of [Kira Yamato](https://anilist.co/character/113/Kira-Yamato), whose mother was a close friend of his own. One year prior to the story, Lenore was killed in the "Bloody Valentine" incident—a large-scale terrorist attack orchestrated by a faction of "Natural" fundamentalists. Consequently, he harbored negative feelings toward Naturals (at least initially). He has a keen interest in electronics and robotics. The bird-like robot "Torii," owned by his childhood friend Kira, was a gift he gave to Kira when they parted ways; he also created the "Haro" robot currently in the possession of his fiancée, [Lacus Clyne](https://anilist.co/character/116/Lacus-Clyne).
